There I was,
Sitting at the edge of my seat,
Staring at the infinite stars,
And counting every tick of time,
As I wait for the reason of life.
Neither can I trust the sun,
Nor can I doubt the moon,
For the cruel tricks they play,
Makes time an elastic toy.
Pulling a few strained out seconds
To last for ages.
But bringing years of happiness
In a few blessed minutes.
Sickened by love,
I lay alone stranded
For ages and ages,
Awaiting her arrival.
Thrilled by my love,
Time runs ahead of me,
Gobbling up hours of time,
And sparing me a few minutes.
